This season, every fashion girl’s style muse is none other than Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. She knew what she was doing when it came to shoes. That’s right, one of the biggest shoe color trends of 2023 is red, or ruby if we’re sticking with The Wizard of Oz reference. Emily Ratajkowski is one of the fashion girls who has clearly been shopping for red shoes, as she wore a very eye-catching pair this week in NYC.

Ratajkowski was photographed wearing head-to-toe snakeskin. With her coordinating pants and jacket, she opted for a pair of red snakeskin boots by Celine. And with one look at the outfit, it’s easy to see why red shoes are trending so hard right now. They look good with basically everything and add so much spice to a “boring” outfit (not that Ratajkowski’s was anywhere near dull). I challenge you to try swapping out a red pair of shoes the next time you reach for neutral ones.
